A must attend event, “HIGH ARTS ASIA” presents the great music and dance traditions of North India, South India, and Bali, Indonesia.

Witness dazzling performances by Ni Ketut Marni (Balinese dance), Gamelan Tunas Mekar led by I Made Lasmawan, Sarah Morelli (kathak dance), Ben Kunin (sarod), Nabin Shreshtha (tabla), and members of the esteemed Sureela Ensemble: V.K. Arun Kumar (Karnatak vocals), Priya Hariharan (Karnatak violin), and Aaron Paige (mridangam). With guest dancers Vie Lim (Balinese dance) and Indira Sandika (Balinese dance).

The final part of the evening’s program will premiere a collaborative work for kathak, tabla, and gamelan, composed by Jordan Hayes, Aaron Paige, Sarah Morelli, Kendall Burks, and Ade Wijaya.

Held at the Newman Center’s gorgeous Gates Hall.
